As many residents know, Masich Place is currently closed while crews work on exciting new upgrades and enhancements to the facility, including a new synthetic turf infield and track, upgraded throwing and jumping facilities, new landscaping with irrigation, and new paint for the stands.
Masich Place Stadium is well-used, not only by key user groups like track and field, soccer and football, but by walkers, runners, and other fitness enthusiasts. In order to ensure there is an alternative site for citizens while Masich is closed, the City of Prince George has upgraded the throws and jumps area and track at Ecole Lac des Bois (4131 Rainbow drive).
Until the school year wraps up at the end of June, the City appreciates users only making use of the track after 3:00pm, Monday to Friday.
Following that, it's open season until school resumes in the fall!
